Artist Makalé Cullen designed a site-specific installation project for Sylvester Manor, a former slaveholding provisioning plantation. The project is called Sharp Song, Crop Over.
To publicize the project she asked me to design something that could work both as a poster as well as a brochure. I designed a poster that folds in four to become a small handout. Once opened the presentation of the project is on the inside.

While collaborating with design studio Balcavit in Rome I had the chance to work for two subsequent years on the image for Romaeuropa Festival, one of the most innovative festivals of dance, theatre and music.
For the 20th anniversary of the Festival I made a collage using some of the previous editions' printed materials. We then used that as a background for all the other designs.
Two posters using the same background inside the silhouettes of the performers
Other printed materials: letterhead, cd cover, book covers
For the following edition I made some illustrations, using a limited palette of black, white and red (the institutional color of the Festival). Here is one proposal. Typography by Studio Balcavit

Fondartigianato is a public organization that helps fund continuing education for the workers of small businesses. I worked as their main graphic design/communication consultant for years.
In 2011 Fondartigianato launched a campaign that said: F=S+! meaning: the Future equals Knowing More! The campaign appeared on posters and magazines and was designed to encourage workers and artisans all over the country to enroll in continuing education programs. On the same year Fondartigianato organized a big convention in Rome, for which I designed all the printed material, including a book summarizing their first 6 years of activity.
FMR is a well known italian art book publisher. In 2010 I designed their Christmas card
I made some illustrations for the City of Rome Municipality. These posters were intended to encourage participation in the use and maintenance of public spaces and to promote local initiatives such as the new bike paths along the old roman aqueduct.
